History of Galgamuwa Model Muslim Maha Vidyalaya (National school)

Acting Head Master was M.R.M.Irasadhurai . It was a private school at start . Mrs.Bomaavadhi and Mr.Mahoom Savahir were the 1^st teachers for this school . This private school converted to a government school on 1961 October 20^th and Total number of students 56. (Boys :- 40 And Girls :- 16)

During Mr.S.D.M.Mansoor Principal's time, this school was upgraded as a Galgamuwa Model Muslim Maha Vidyalaya in 2002.

 Buildings Detailes

• 1^st building [Sidhi Lebba Hall] made in 1968 by Alhaj Baakkir Makkar and Lokubanda – principal M.M Ibrahim
• Stage Main Hall made in  1972
• Teachers’ Quarters in 1979
• Science lab made in 1987
• Two storeyed  buildings made in 1990
• Library made by government in 2001
• Prayer room made by IIRO in 2009
• In 2013 a classroom made by old students [A.R.M SIYAD AND HIS SIBLINGS, DR.H.D.M.RIYAS] In 2015 a class room made by villagers [M.Z.M. Faaris and M.Z.M FAAYIS]
• Canteen made in 2018
• Primary central hall made in 2019.
